Xao Vang
Xao Vang is a tennis coach and lifelong lover of the game. On the court, he competes at a 4.5 USTA level and brings that competitive experience into his coaching. He’s spent years coaching players of all ages and skill levels, from youth programs and beginner lessons to adults. He’s done a little bit of everything and loves it all. Currently, he’s an Assistant Tennis Coach for the Winona State University Women’s Tennis Program. Prior to this, he spent several years coaching high school tennis.
Xao believes tennis should be both challenging and enjoyable. He focuses on building solid fundamentals—good footwork, clean technique, and smart strategies—while also keeping it relaxed and supportive. Every player learns differently, so he tailors his coaching to fit each person.
Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or looking to sharpen your competitive edge, Xao is all about helping players grow, improve, and most importantly—have fun on the court. He loves seeing how sports bring people together, build confidence, and create lifelong friendships.
