Evan Huemoeller
We would like to welcome Evan Huemoeller as the new Head Tennis Professional at the Winona Indoor Tennis Center. Evan comes to us with a wealth of experience as both a tennis instructor and player. Evan played #1 Singles for Owatonna High School his junior and senior year. From 2017-2020, Evan was an Assistant Tennis Instructor at the Owatonna Indoor Tennis Club in Owatonna, MN. He then enrolled at Saint Mary’s University and played #1 Singles for three seasons, graduating in 2024. As a grad student this year at Saint Mary’s, he will again compete at #1 Singles. In 2022-23, Evan served as Summer Tennis Instructor at Tennis and Life Camps, Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter MN. This past summer, Evan was an Assistant Tennis Professional at the La Crosse Country Club in La Crosse, WI. More recently, in the Fall of 2024, Evan served as the Head Tennis Coach of Aquinas High School Girl’s Tennis Team (ranked #3 in state of WI). We look forward to the expertise and enthusiasm Evan will bring to our club and members.
Corina Turriff
Corina Turriff has been playing pickleball since 2020. She’s a self-proclaimed “pickleball addict.”
In April 2022, Corina received her Introductory Instructor Training through PCI, Pickleball Coaching International. In June 2022, she received her Pickleball Instructor Certification Level 1 through PCI. Her most recent accomplishment is passing the Level 2 Instructor Certification in January 2025. She feels it’s important to continue to push herself to be a better coach to others.
Her current goals are to become a more well-rounded advanced player, introduce others to pickleball and help them learn more about it, and play pickleball in every state. She has currently played in OVER 20 states!
Corina encourages everyone to try pickleball. According to her, “it’s good for the soul!”
Matt Breza
The WATA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Matt Breza has joined our staff as a Pickleball instructor. Matt has eight years of experience, is a 4.5+ level player, and has medaled in 21 tournaments across intermediate and advanced levels. He is passionate about sharing his expertise. His tailored drills, coupled with court techniques and in-game strategies, will prove to be very helpful to those who desire to attain a higher level of pickleball proficiency.
Matt lives in Goodview with his wife and three children and works for the Army Corps of Engineers. His instruction is by appointment only. Given his insistence on providing worthwhile and quality instruction, he prefers to work with a maximum of four people. Please feel free to contact the WATA desk if you would like more information.
Dan Hampton
Director of Operations oversees all of the day-to-day operations and coordinates the center’s staffing, programming, court rental, leagues, and other events.
